Welcome to Medical Student Education in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. We are committed to providing an exceptional educational experience for motivated students interested in learning more about cardiovascular, pulmonary, and foregut anatomy and pathophysiology.
We offer electives in adult cardiothoracic surgery and congenital heart disease during the MS4 year. Students who wish to enroll should complete an Add/Drop form (MS4 rotations only) and submit a curriculum vitae and personal statement (MS4 rotations) to our Academic Programs Coordinator.
