Ms. Weston joined the Congenital Heart Program in 2011, serving as an instructor in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery. She began her nursing career at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital/Texas Heart Institute in the care of infants, children and adults undergoing cardiac surgery and transplantation. She has served in both academic and clinical positions as an advanced practice nurse. Her current area of research in translational science involves improved feeding and growth outcomes in infants with single ventricle physiology. Cindy also serves as the nurse practitioner for the single ventricle clinic. She and her husband, Jaye, have two sons Alex and Jake.
